Le quartier de Times Square immobilisé ! Le tournage de Vanilla sky s'est étalé sur une durée de six semaines. Pour l'une des scènes les plus impressionnantes du film, qui se passe dans un Times Square totalement désert, Cameron Crowe et son équipe ont obtenu l'autorisation de boucler le célèbre quartier un dimanche. Un privilège rare donné par la ville de New York. Une musique signée par madame Crowe ! La musique de Vanilla sky est signée par Nancy Wilson. Une information qui ne serait qu'anecdotique si la femme n'était pas l'épouse du réalisateur Cameron Crowe ! A l'exception de Singles, Nancy Wilson a ainsi composé la bande-son de tous les films de son mari. Vanilla sky : un voyage... Pour le réalisateur Cameron Crowe, Vanilla sky s'apparente à un vrai voyage. "J'ai voulu embarquer le spectateur dans un voyage émotionnel, l'entraîner progressivement vers des régions de plus en plus étranges", raconte l'Américain. "Je pense que les gens vont au cinéma pour être transportés, et ce film a été construit, tant sur le plan dramatique que visuel, comme un itinéraire passionnel." Un caméo prestigieux... Un réalisateur très célèbre fait une courte apparition dans Vanilla sky. L'américain Steven Spielberg honore en effet le long métrage de sa présence. Un geste apprécié par Cameron Crowe qui, en échange, apparaîtra dans le prochain film de Spielberg, le thriller futuriste Minority report. Penélope Cruz reprend son rôle Penélope Cruz, qui tenait le rôle féminin principal d'Ouvre les yeux, reprend exactement le même rôle dans Vanilla sky, le remake américain. Un phénomène assez rare dans le petit monde du septième art... Vanilla sky : le remake d'un film espagnol Vanilla sky est le remake d'Ouvre les yeux, un thriller réalisé en 1997 par l'espagnol Alejandro Amenabar. La productrice Paula Wagner, le réalisateur Cameron Crowe et l'acteur Tom Cruise ont immédiatement été enthousiasmés par le sujet du film. "Nous avons vu Ouvre les yeux ensemble et séparément", raconte Paula Wagner, "et avons tous jugé que c'était le sujet idéal. En faisant Vanilla sky, nous avons souhaité rendre hommage à ce film, tout en lui ajoutant quelques touches personnelles".

Kay Burley of Sky News interviews Lord Razzall on Vince Cable Recorded on 21 December 2010, this clip is a great example of what's wrong with UK news media. Kay Burley is pretty dire most of the time, but in this 9 minute interview she seems to only have one question to ask and repeats it again and again. Her only aim seems to be to try and trip up Lord Razzall. He handles her admirably. News Corp Shareholding (wikipedia) As part of News Corporation - which has a large ownership of the UK newspaper market - BSkyB was highlighted as part of media ownership concerns in September 2010 by Claire Enders - founder of media consultancy Enders Analysis - when she wrote to Vince Cable, UK Business Secretary, in a 20 page letter[1] stating that News Corporation's bid for the 60.9% of BSkyB they don't own would dilute media plurality and exercise 'too much political influence'[2]. She also stated any such shareholder arrangement would represent a ""Berlusconi moment" for the UK"[3], referring to Italy's concentration of media ownership. This was followed by the same argument from the Financial Times in an editorial[4], who stated "a merger would give Mr Murdoch unfettered power to direct its management and cash flows"[5] and that, consequently, this would "lock out challengers and stifle the diversity of debate."[5] Lord Puttnam has also argued the same thing, referring to the Coalition Government's desire to alter broadcast regulation and its links with News Corporation.[6] Pressure group 38 Degrees began a petition to Vince Cable, arguing that News Corp (and Murdoch's) proposed shareholding would stifle a 'free and diverse UK media' and affect UK broadcasting impartiality rules.[7] Although the bid was 'dropped after only five weeks'[8] some media commentators are presuming it has been done to 'bide time'[8] and that News Corp are "still confident" they can prove their bid is not "a serious threat to competition"[9]. In October 2010, a group of media companies - accounting for a third of Fleet Street and the BBC - jointly wrote to Vince Cable, the Business Secretary, to lay out their reasons for the BSkyB share bid being a breach of media pluarity. The first CEO of BSkyB was Sam Chisholm, who was CEO of Sky TV before the merger. Chisholm served in this position until 1997. He was followed by Mark Booth who was credited with leading the company through the introduction of Sky. Tony Ball was appointed in 1999 and completed the company's analogue to digital conversion. He is also credited with returning the company to profit and bringing subscriber numbers to new heights. In 2003 Ball announced his resignation and James Murdoch, son of Rupert Murdoch was announced as his successor. This appointment caused allegations of nepotism from shareholders.[3] On 7 December 2007 it was announced that Rupert Murdoch would be stepping down as BSkyB's Non-Executive Chairman and would be replaced by his son, James. It was also announced that James would be stepping down as CEO of BSkyB and will be replaced by Jeremy Darroch.[4] On 15 June 2010, News Corp made a takeover bid of BSkyB, wishing to gain the remaining 61% of the shares owned by other shareholders at 700p per share, however, this was rejected. A majority of these shares are owned by BskyB employees who range from Contact Centre staff to Field Technicians, Management to Directors. BSkyB demanded that an offer of more than 800p per share would better value the company, meaning that News Corp would have to find an extra £1bn. Le protagoniste de Beneath a Steel Sky, Robert Foster est un innocent étranger dans une grande ville habitée par des citoyens opprimés dont le travail consiste a augmenter la hauteur des tours… alors que les personnages avides, corrompus et riches restent sous terre, judicieusement protégés de la pollution. Complètement seul, Foster devra lutter pour survivre et découvrir la sinistre vérité qui se cache derrière son enlèvement. Beneath a Steel Sky est une aventure graphique du type pointer et cliquer. Dans ce type de jeux, le protagoniste marche, observe des objets et, si nécessaire, les récolte pour les utiliser, parle avec d’autres personnes et résout des devinettes. Ce jeu a été lancé pour la première fois en 1994 pour MS-DOS, Amiga et Amiga CD32. En 2003, les créateurs de Beneath a Steel Sky décidèrent d’offrir le jeu gratuitement. Aujourd’hui, le jeu peut s’installer dans une grande variété de systèmes d’exploitation comme Windows, Linux, MacOS et BeOS.

Nous avions eu l'occasion d'être présents le 16 juillet 2011 à la première de l'événement The Sky is the limit sur Evry. Ce tournoi a été mis en place par l'association Young Move qui a la vocation de faire partager son amour pour le basket-ball. Et ils ont eu l'idée de s'associer à l'UNICEF pour également sensibiliser les jeunes aux difficultés des enfants dans le monde. Bref, vous allez avoir l'occasion de vibrer au rythme des dribles, shots, et dunks. Le groupe a sort son 1st single : Voice, distribué lors d'un live le 26 mars 2007. ClearVeil était une des rares formations n'ayant pas de batteur jusqu'à l'arrivée de Naruka en octobre 2007, pas loin de la sortie de leur 1st mini-album éponyme. Janvier 2008, ClearVeil délaisse Sequence Records pour rejoindre le label de Kisaki : UNDERCODE PRODUCTION. Ils sortiront 3 maxi-singles entre les mois de mars et avril : The Dropping Sky ; shinja ni sasagu uta et lapis ~ ao no yuuutsu ~. Le 24 septembre, le groupe sort un nouveau single : Haiiro no Kakera, qui comporteras deux éditions (première fois que le groupe sort genre de CD), mais c'est surtout le 29 octobre qui marquera un grand coup avec la sortie de leur second mini-album (et premier sous UNDERCODE PRODUCTION) : The future of despair, qui annonce le premier PV du groupe avec la sublime chanson "The dropping sky". Premier vrai album pour le 18 mars, RE : BORN avec 4 inédites et un PV de la chanson "the future of despair", après une apparition "dans une super compilation album" d'UNDERCODE, the end of missing, avec haiiro no kakera. Août 2009, ClearVeil sort un nouveau single en deux types (A et B) : Awake. Puis début 2010 le groupe annonce deux sortis en deux mois consécutif : Black Velvet (2010/03/17) et White Satin. (2010/04/21) Malheureusement, en Avril 2010, le groupe annonce subitement sa séparation. En effet, le groupe fera une dernière tournée nommée "Termination" qui s'achèvera le 4 juillet au Nagoya E. L. L. (En ce qui concerne la raison de la séparation, les membres ne sont plus d'accord sur l'évolution musicale du groupe. ) Concernan le futur des membres, Ryuuto a commencé un projet solo : lute et a déjà distribué un single en live. Saki quant à lui se retire de la scène musicale. Il se retirera le 22 octobre 2010 le jour où clorcian aura son "one day revival". Saki souhaite terminer sa carrière le même jour et au même en droit qu'il la commencé.
