Kenny Barron Trio - Jazz Baltica
Kenny Barron (né le 9 juin 1943 à Philadelphie) est un pianiste de jazz américain. Il est le jeune frère du saxophoniste ténor Bill Barron. Son talent a commencé à être reconnu lorsqu'il a joué dans le quartet de Dizzy Gillespie dans les années 1960. Kenny Barron a joué avec des centaines de musiciens de jazz renommés comme Yusef Lateef, James Moody, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Buddy Rich, Ron Carter, Chet Baker, Benny Carter, Stan Getz, Regina Carter et Ornette Coleman. Il a aussi co-dirigé le groupe Sphere. Kenny Barron a été nominé neuf fois pour un Grammy Awards et pour le "American Jazz Hall of Fame". Pendant 25 ans Kenny Barron a joué à la Rutgers University dans le New Jersey.
