Henri II organise un tournoi Le 30 juin 1559, le roi de France Henri II organise un tournoi (jeu qui permet de s'entraîner), devant l'hôtel des Tournelles (près de l'actuelle place des Vosges), en l'honneur de deux mariages - celui de la sœur du roi Henri II, Marguerite avec Emmanuel-Philibert - duc de Savoie -, et celui d'Élisabeth sa fille avec Philippe II d'Espagne - conclus quelques semaines plus tôt au Traité de Cateau-Cambrésis (3 avril 1559). Henri II, bien que de constitution très robuste et habituellement fort adroit aux exercices des armes, est grièvement blessé à la tête, le 30 juin 1559, par la lance du comte Gabriel de Montgomery qui pénètre à travers la visière du casque du roi : "Un gros éclat frappa le front au-dessous du sourcil droit et déchirant la chair, vient s'enfoncer dans un coin de l'œil gauche; plusieurs fragments percèren t l'œil même; l'os frontal ne fut pas touché...". Avec un tel environnement musical autour d'elle étant jeune, elle s'est donc intéressée à la musique. Alors qu'elle était au collège puis au lycée, elle s'est intéressée à l'écriture de musiques. Elle était fan de Jewel qui l'encouragea à devenir chanteuse et compositrice. Chihiro commença donc à écrire des musiques alors qu'elle était au collège. Un fois son diplôme en poche, comme beaucoup de personne voulant réussir dans le domaine de la musique, elle déménage à Tokyo et commence à travailler en tant que chanteuse et écrivain de chanson professionnelle. En 1999, elle écrit 60 chansons en l'espace de seulement 6 mois ! Elle fait vraiment ses débuts en février 2000 avec le titre "Shine". Elle enchaîne 4 titres et finalement le 7 mars 2001 sort son premier album "Insomnia". Immédiatement ce CD bat les records de vente avec 1, 300, 000 cd de vendus en 2 mois ! En 2002, Chihiro quitte sa maison de disques pour rejoindre le label A&M (appartenant à Universal). Son style varie un tant soit peu et devient plus péchu, plus rock, aussi.
