These woodlands, which are at this time in the hands of The Forestry Commission in Trust of The People of the United Kingdom are "By Law Not To Be Sold", though somehow, 15% of them seem to be allowed onto the market!! A public survey has revealed that three quarters of people are opposed to plans to sell off the UK's & England's forests while leading figures have also called for the decision to be reversed. Please Copy This Message & email to your Parliamentary Representative/s & any Crossbench Peers you deem fit. Our Woodlands In Fact Add over 100% profit to the Treasury, this will go to the private side, and which by the way, after owning the woods for over 2 years, no longer have to pay taxes on the estate !!! Email the minister responsible for Forests and ask for an exemption for the Forest of Dean & other forests of interest to you, which in reality, should be all. The Public Bodies Bill is passing through the House of Lords soon. There is a good chance that the bill can be stopped or amended if enough crossbench peers are persuaded to vote against the bill.
