Climate Change: Ezra Levant on the IPCC's latest fraud - June 20, 2011 It was first reported on by Steven McIntyre on his blog, Climate Audit (and was run on the FP Comment page of Friday's National Post). McIntyre revealed that the IPCC used a Greenpeace campaigner to write a key part of its report on renewable energy and to make the astonishing claim that "close to 80% of the world's energy supply could be met by renewables by mid-century if backed by the right enabling public policies." He further revealed that the claim arose from a "joint publication of Greenpeace and the European Renewable Energy Council (EREC)." And it turns out that while working for the IPCC, the Greenpeace campaigner approvingly cited a Greenpeace report that he himself was the lead author of. He peer-reviewed himself. A report on renewables, by the Renewable Energy Council of Europe, and Greenpeace, peer-reviewd by the man who wrote it. All they need add is a citation from the Suzuki Foundation and an endorsement from Elizabeth May and "the science will be settled" forever. This is not just letting the fox into the hen house. This is giving him the keys, passing him the barbeque sauce and pointing his way to the broiler. The Earth is well within natural climate variability, climate fear is being driven by unproven computer models, and it is preposterous for the EPA, White House, or Congress to call carbon dioxide a "pollutant." * Purely Symbolic: Congressional proposals like cap and trade or other energy mandates, and international treaties like the Kyoto Protocol, are purely symbolic efforts at reducing emissions and stabilizing the climate. Even President Obama's own EPA admits cap-and-trade style policies will have no detectable impact on global CO2 levels or temperatures. Climate Change?: Johnny Ball, stop teaching children junk science - March 2, 2011 Ex-children's TV presenter Johnny Ball tells the politicians and school textbook writers to stop scaring children with the religion of climate change, and teach FACTS... it's no surprise that as the content of facts in schools has been dropping, so has the UK dropped in international tables on maths and other subjects. If you look at past papers for GCSE (free to download), you would be shocked how dumbed down subject like physics, chemistry, biology, geography have become. What science degree does Philip Hammond have? None, he has a w@nker PPE degree. What science degree does Alistair Darling have? None, he has a w@nker Law degree. And yet, it's these kind of politicians that claim they are right, and those that do not accept the religion of climate change are ALL wrong.
