D, à prononcer "di" (à l'anglaise) est un groupe de Visual Kei devenu incontournable sur la scène musicale japonaise. Membres - Chant: ASAGI - Guitare: Ruiza - Guitare: HIDE-zou - Basse: Tsunehito - Batterie: Hiroki Anciens Membres - Guitare: Sin (parti en 2003) - Basse: Rena (parti en 2005) Support & Staff - Guitare: Tetsu, en tant que membre de session, remplaçait Ruiza lors de son hospitalisation. ceci correspond à la période Night of the Children. - Synthétiseur, Programation & Basse: Kase Tatsuya Il s'agit aussi du co-producteur de D. Il a également joué de la basse pour la première édition de The Name Of The ROSE. - Synthétiseur & Programation: Wataru est crédité dans les mini-albums NEW BLOOD & Paradox. - Coach Vocal d'ASAGI: Ryoko Sato. BIOGRAPHIE D est créé en Mars 2003 par 3 anciens membres du groupe Syndrome, ASAGI (chant), Ruiza et Sin (guitare), accompagnés par Rena (ex-PERSONA) (basse) et Hiroki (ex-S to M, ex-Aioria) (batterie). Leur premier concert fut le "SHOCK JAM #001", en Avril 2003, où ils se trouvèrent aux côtés de "stars" du visual kei comme Nightmare, Lareine ou encore Kagrra. C'est après le départ de Sin et l'hospitalisation de Ruiza en Juin 2003 qu'ils décident de devenir temporairement "Night of the Children", accompagnés par HIDE-zou (ex-S to M) à la guitare et Tetsu (ex-Domestic†Child) à la basse en tant que membres de support. Leur premier mini-album, NEW BLOOD, sortira en Juillet en seulement 100 copies sous leur propre label, GOD CHILD RECORD. En Septembre, Ruiza revient de l'hopital et HIDE-zou devient membre officiel du groupe, remplaçant Sin. Quelques temps après, D donnera son premier One-man, "Believe or not believe", en Novembre 2003 au Meguro Rock Maykan. En 2004 sort leur second mini-album, Paradox, qui se place au 13eme rang de l'Oricon Indies ainsi qu'une réedition de leur premier mini-album intitulée NEW BLOOD ~ Second impact ~. Durant l'enregistrement de leur premier album, The name of the ROSE, Rena abandonne le groupe et HIDE-Zou le remplace à la basse avant l'intégration de Tsunehito en Décembre 2005. Leur deuxième album, Tafel Anatomie sort en 2006, année qui verra débuter les carrières solo d'Asagi qui sort le single Corvinus et Ruiza, qui sort l'album Amenity Gain. Ce fut leurs seuls disques en solo. Au cours de l'année 2007 est créé le Fan club officiel de D, Ultimate Lover et leur premier DVD Live D Tafel Anatomie TOUR 2006 vient compléter leur discographie. Dès 2008, D passe en major et signe chez Avex Trax. Suite à ce nouveau contrat, sort un single nommé BIRTH, le 7 Avril 2008. Depuis, ils enchaînent les sorties singles et albums offrant chacun un univers à part entière. En 2011, ils s'ouvrent enfin à l'Europe via des programmes TV, d'abord, en collaboration avec MusicJAPANplus et via une première tournée Européenne ensuite. Celle-ci se déroule au mois de Mai et compte 8 pays au total, dont deux passages en France et trois en Allemagne. A cette occasion, le groupe annonce l'ouverture prochaine de leur Fanclub Officiel International au nom de Ultimate Lover Global Fanclub avec, une fois de plus, l'aide de MusicJAPANplus eux-même. Un mois plus tard, le groupe se produit pour la première fois aux Etats-Unis lors de la convention A-Kon Festival (Texas). Cependant, D met un terme à sa collaboration avec Avex Trax et la Smile Company à compter du 30 juin 2011, repassant dès lors sous le label indépendant GOD CHILD RECORDS, crée par Asagi quelques années plus tôt.
