Les filles, HARUNA, MAMI, TOMOMI et RINA se sont rencontrés dans une école de chant et de danse nommée CALESS à Osaka. Peu de temps après elles ont commencées à chanter dans les rues chaque weekend à Shiroten au "Osaka Castle Park". Très vite, elle gagnèrent des offres provenant des clubs d'Osaka et de Kyoto. SCANDAL signera un contrat indie avec le label Kitty Records et sortiront 3 singles exclusif pour Tower Records en 2008. Le premier "Space Ranger", se hissa à la seconde place des charts indies alors que les deux autres gagnèrent la première place. En mars, elles embarquèrent pour l'Amérique pour y donner pas moins de 6 concerts. Elles ont également fait une apparition au Sakura-Con, une des plus grandes conventions d'anime aux États-Unis. En Juillet, elles joueront devant plus de 10 000 personnes à la Japan Expo en France mais aussi à l'Ani-Com de Hong Kong en Août. Elles finiront leurs carrières indies avec leur premier mini-album "YAH ! YAH ! YAH ! HELLO SCANDAL ~Maido ! SCANDAL Desu ! Yah Yah Yah ! ~". 2008 s'avère tout aussi remplis d'events pour SCANDAL. En octobre, elles font leurs débuts major sous le label EPIC Records Japan avec le single "DOLL". Ces débuts major leurs donneront une plus grande visibilité auprès du public japonais avec les médias, les différents magazines et les apparitions TV comme Music Station. Le groupe ne perd pas de temps et enchaîne avec un second single "SAKURA Goodbye" en Mars 2009 afin de commémorer l'obtention de diplômes de MAMI et TOMOMI. Cette chanson est une nouvelle version de leur chanson indie "SAKURA", seulement jouée en live. Le mois suivant, elles sortiront leurs troisième single "Shoujo S" qui fut utilisé pour le dixième opening de l'anime BLEACH. Ainsi, leurs popularités se voient boostés et le single atteint la 6ème position de l'Oricon Chart. Le 14 octobre, SCANDAL sortit leur quatrième single major "Yumemiru Tsubasa" qui fut suivit de leurs premier album major "BEST★SCANDAL", la semaine suivante. Ce dernier atteignit la 5ème place des charts, faisant d'elles le premier groupe de filles (depuis ZONE) à classer leurs premier album dans le top 5. En décembre, SCANDAL font leurs première tournée nationale. Pour finir l'année, le groupe gagna un award au 51st Nihon Record Taisho dans la catégorie "Nouvel artiste de l'année" mais perdirent face à BIGBANG pour la catégorie "Meilleur nouvel artiste de l'année" 2010 commença avec le cinquième single de SCANDAL en février "Shunkan Sentimental". La piste principale fut utilisé pour être le 4ème ending de l'anime "Hagane no Renkinjutsushi FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST". Le mois suivant, elles feront une tournée de printemps intitulé "SCANDAL ~Shunkan Sakura Zensen TOUR~ 2010 SPRING". Avant que cette tournée commence, le groupe demanda par l'intermédiaire de Twitter quel reprise leurs fans aimeraient voir interprétée en live. La chanson gagnante fut "secret base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~" (ZONE) qui fut choisit parmi plus de 600 autres. En juin SCANDAL sortit un nouveau single avec une ambiance d'été "Taiyou to Kimi ga Egaku STORY", suivit de leurs premier single ballade "Namida no Regret" en Juillet. Entre fin Juillet et début Août, SCANDAL voyagea vers Hong Kong. Le groupe assistera pour la troisième fois consécutive à la convention "Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong" et feront leurs premier concert à guichet fermé dans la ville. SCANDAL fit également la couvertue du magazine "re : spect music magazine" et leur single "Taiyou to Kimi ga Egaku STORY" atteignit la première place de RTHK chart dans la rubrique "J-pop". Plus tôt elles avaient déjà gagnées un award de bronze par RTHK pour être les meilleurs nouvelles artistes de l'année. Après le retour au Japon, SCANDAL sortit leur second album "TEMPTATION BOX" le 11 Août. L'album débute à la troisième place, faisant d'elle le premier groupe féminin à avoir un album dans le top 3 depuis "Kokuhaku" des chatmonchy. L'album sortit également dans plus de 42 autres pays du monde. Toujours en Août 2010, SCANDAL fit le thème ainsi que l'insert song et l'ending du film animé "Loups=Garous". Les musiques furent respectivement "Midnight Television", "KOSHI-TANTAN", et "Sayonara My Friend". Le groupe apparaît également dans l'anime faisant ainsi leurs premiers pas en tant que seiyuus. Deux mois après TEMPTATION BOX, SCANDAL publia leur huitième single major, "SCANDAL Nanka Buttobase", le 6 Octobre 2010. La chanson-titre a été écrite et composé par le duo Aki Yoko et Uzaki Ryudo qui sont connus pour la création de nombreuses chansons pour Yamaguchi Momoe. L'édition limitée DVD contient des performances de la bande de la première émission de télévision Shiteki Ongaku Jijou, qui a duré 13 épisodes de Juillet à Septembre 2010. En Novembre, SCANDAL a publié un mini-album de covers intitulé R-GIRL's ROCK ! . Il comporte des chansons d'artistes féminines qu'elles respectent des trois dernières décennies. Du 1 au 3 juillet 2011 elles sont allées à l'AM2 à Anaheim aux USA. Debrecini Feat. Jane Summer - Flame in the Dark
Unsigned DJ / Producer of a broad stlye of electronic dance music... Covering Progressive House + Trance and all the dancefloor dirtyness in between. Currently Debrecini is busy in the studio pumping out new tracks and building a rig for live performance of dance music. He is working with cutting edge music tech with the goal of creating a hybrid of a DJ and a live musical performance. At the very heart of Debrecini's sound are beats that groove to the sound of progressive, house or techno. Layered with lush emotive melody and haunting under tones. Add to this the occasional hard hitting vocal hook and your just about there. With clever production, cutting edge grooves and a sound that bridges the gap between dance genres. But as time moves on, so has he. Now with many years of experience under his belt. He carefully spent time building up a nice project studio and honing DJ / music production skills. He is currently unsigned but wants to finish more quality tracks before he approaches labels. However if you work for a label in A&R and are interested then please get in touch. He is also free for remix work so again just get in touch. Debrecini's natural love of music next led him to DJ'ing when he started at age 19. Securing his first gig only 4 months after starting to learn. This happened at Base bar, Feels official pre bar at the time (www.feel-it.co.uk). Since then DJ wise Debrecini has been lucky to have played at many local night spots. Securing 3 seperate residencies, numerous guest appearances at venues, a guest spot on Rock FM's Acid Test (radio show) and also running his own night! His first residency was at the legendary Mish Mash @ The Works (www.mmash.co.uk). A successful nightspot in Blackburn, Lancashire that showcased the best of new talent in the nearby area. During this time he also secured a residency at Timesquare, Preston. A bar located across the road from Feel (www.feel-it.co.uk) featured a few times by Mixmag to be within the top 5 UK nightclubs! This put Debrecini in a superb position, often warming the Feel crowd up before seeing legendary DJ's such as Dave Seamen, Nick Warren, Scott Bond, Timo Maas, John Kelly and the likes... It was a great time for Debrecini as around then Mish Mash also put on a successful event, taking over the Utopia night club in Blackburn one saturday night. Born named Paul Denby so why call your self Debrecini you may ask? Well my father's original surname was Debrecini and when he came over to the UK after the communist invasion of Europe he Anglicised the name to Denby. So after a trip to Hungary to visit my family and my roots I decided to use this as my main DJ and musical name. Although predominantly my sound is planted firmly in the Progressive Trance dance genre. I don't like my style to be pigeon holed as I tend to bring together elements from many other dance music styles. Often crossing over and bridging the gap, one big melting pot of sound.
