After School (애프터스쿨) est un girlsband sud-coréen, composé au départ de cinq membres : Park Ga Hee, Kim Jung Ah, Lee Ju Yeon, Kim Rebbeca, et Yoo So Young. Le groupe est produit par Pledis Entaintainment qui gère par ailleurs la chanteuse Son Dam Bi, et a débuté en janvier 2009, plus précisément le 17 janvier 2009 au MBC Music Core avec leur premier EP portant le nom de : New Schoolgirl et avec leur chanson titre "AH", néanmoins le groupe a fait ses débuts officieux le 29 décembre 2008 lors du SBS Song Festival 'S' en interprétant Play Girlz avec Son Dam Bi. Pledis révèlera que le concept de After School est influencé par les "Pussycat Dolls" et qu'il s'agit là d'un groupe totalement différent de ce que la Corée avait pu avoir auparavant. En effet, le groupe repose sur l'entrée de nouveaux membres, tandis que certains anciens quitteront le groupe en recevant un diplôme. Il peux parfois s'agir d'un "remplacement" mais ce n'est pas nécessaire à l'entré de nouveaux. Le groupe possède actuellement quatre générations depuis leur début, et compte actuellement un effectif de 9 membres dont Becca qui sera diplômée d'ici peu. Leur fanclub officiel est PLAYGIRLZ, et les fans se nomment "Playgirlz" ou "Playboyz". On lui doit l'invention de la technique dite du slap (« claquer » en français), qui a permis d'enrichir la palette de sons disponibles sur son instrument de prédilection. Initialement, il l'utilisait pour remplacer le batteur quand celui-ci était absent. Graham a joué dans le célèbre groupe de funk Sly and the Family Stone de 1967 à 1972. Au début des années 1980, Graham fait quelques tubes en solo, comme One In A Million You, qui atteint la 9e place du classement Billboard. Après une longue période de vache maigre, il fait à nouveau parler de lui en 1998 en assurant les premières parties des concerts de Prince sur le Newpower Soul Tour et en publiant son dernier album en date, GCS 2000, sur le label de ce dernier, NPG Records. Il l'accompagnera également sur scène de 1998 à 2001, puis ne fera que quelques apparitions en « guest » à ses côtés. Il est également un pionner de l'utilisation des effets sur la basse : il combine souvent une fuzz à un phaser pour des solos apocalyptiques, qui ne sont pas sans rappeler le style de Jimi Hendrix. Son style de slap est vraiment très caractéristique: il fait la part belle à la puissance plus qu'a la vitesse. Il frappe ces cordes de telle sorte que son pouce « traverse » la corde au lieu de s'arrêter sur la touche. Certaines de ces lignes ne peuvent même comporter qu'une seule note, mais sa manière de l'accentuer porte tout le morceau (« Everyday People » de Sly and The Family Stone). Il utilise des basses de type Jazz Bass actives fabriquées au Japon par Moon. Ses basses sont nommées : Sunshine pour la 4 cordes et Moonshine pour la 5 cordes. Il dispose toujours d'un look caractéristique : blanc de la tête au pied, avec souvent une casquette de marin. Il pousse la fantaisie jusqu'à équiper ses basse blanches de corde dorées. Il reste donc véritablement un personnage funky.Il est aussi l'oncle du rappeur Aubrey Drake Graham.
