    "MARRAKECH BEST GUEST HOUSES" LOVE TROJAN REAGGAE MUSIC Living in the Footsteps

    BEST BOUTIQUES RIADS IN MARRAKECH RIAD DAR NAJAT&RIAD BAB MARRAKECH “Magical, Great location, great staff” My 20 something daughter and I traveled to Marrakech. She picked out this riad from the reviews on Trip Advisor, and the reviews did not disappoint!!! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We got there and they asked us if we wanted lunch, which they then ran to the market to buy the food fresh and cook it. The riad's location is a 5 minute walk to the main souk, but that is what makes the riad special... you get a real feel for living there by walking the streets. The only reason I gave the sleep quality a 4 is for the rooster that woke us up each morning. The rooms were great. The staff told us where to go for dinner, and then walked us there. They give you cell phones in case you get lost in all alley's/streets. Oliver even managed to have one of the staff give my daughter a henna tattoo on her hand (very inexpensive) I would recommend this oasis to anyone. Sip a glass of wine on the 3rd floor roof, and listen to the sounds of the city around you.

    Beebe, Arkansas Blackbird Kill Avian Radar Video & Analysis of the Event - January 7, 2011 Following the national news stories about the unusual bird kill in Arkansas on New Years Eve, DeTect's scientists (www.detect-inc.com) extracted archived radar data from its national Avian Radar System (the Avian Hazard Advisory System, www.ussahas.com) to determine if the bird activity described by local observers was evident in the radar information. AHAS is an automated system that tracks and records bird activity in real-time for the US and is the largest and most advanced such system in operation worldwide. The radar information revealed several interesting facts about this event. First, the blackbird roost near Beebe, Arkansas, was active the day before the event (Dec 30, 2010), with a characteristic roost "ring" leaving the area near sunrise. Birds returning to the roost in the evening often arrive by hopping from tree to tree or power line to power line and are often below the radar beam or in the ground clutter. Birds leaving roosts however, often get higher in the air and leave a characteristic "bloom" signature. The radar data show an interesting "bloom" near Beebe at around 10:20 PM on December 31st. It is very unusual for blackbird species to leave a roost at night even when harassed intentionally by loud noise, pyrotechnics, or even fireworks. It is even more unusual that these birds would continue to stay in the air above the roost area for several hours after they first took flight. Again, the radar data show significant activity in the area for over 6 hours. During this time there is no evidence of significant precipitation near the roost. It is also unlikely that anyone in Beebe, Arkansas, had stockpiled enough fireworks to continue a significant show lasting through the night and into the early morning hours.
