“Best meal in Marrakech” Booked in for a set meal. There were 6 of us and they said they would get music in.. Which they did, live music and dance. Fabulous food and entertainment. “Most Delicious Meal in all of Marrakech!” Upon arrival at the Riad Dar Najat, we were told that we would be served dinner...Not knowing what to expect, we sat down to wait in one of their relaxing lounges. When dinner came, we were immediately drooling. A rich spicy lemony chicken tagine, complimented with zuchinni florets and eggplant and string beans and a fresh salad and fresh bread. Of course beer and wine and dessert. My brother and I felt like kings. We ate it all. They were also kind as to ask us other foods we enjoyed, and prepared us a delicious lamb dish as well. Considering we wanted to explore some other restaurants around the area, we visited a pricey close-by restaurant, Le Marrakechi, which ended up being quite boring, the meat dry and served in small portions... Without a doubt, Dar Najat's Kitchen was our favorite restaurant, and to make it all the bette, you could enjoy your meal in the privacy of your own Riad (that is if you are lucky enough to be staying there as well). We asked the staff to prepare us the same meal from our arrival for our departure, and is was as delicious as the first, if not more. I wish I could enjoy it right now...NEXT TIME! Thanks Dar Najat Kitchen!
DAR NAJAT KITCHEN by patdef Restaurant completely atypical, but oh hang around in the Medina of Marrakech. Place to be without restraint, both for the quality of the cuisine for the charisma of the boss Dar Najat Kitchen. We do not know what we eat, no card, no menu, everything is done according to the mood of Zitoun and market supply and, best of all, it is unclear exactly what it will cost! But the result is convincing, and the comments I heard at nearby tables unequivocally confirm that the satisfaction was complete. Expect to pay about Dhs 250 for a full meal of Moroccan specialties top flight.

“Wonderful experience!” I had the most wonderful trip to Marrakech mostly due to Oliver and his most thoughtful crew. I loved Marrakech and I plan to return and will again stay at Riad Dar Najat. I was made to feel so welcome and among friends from the minute the driver picked me up at the airport until I left. I will always be grateful for all of the kindness that was shown to me! I can not wait to go back! Thanks, Oliver

“Wonderful riad with attention to every detail without the commercial feeling.” Wonderful riad with attention to every detail without the commercial feeling. The owner, frenchman Oliver resident in Morocco for 25 years, and his wonderful staff makes their riad the perfect oasis in between excursions in the charming and "exotic" but rather kaotic city. When we arrived, we were immediately shown to the rooftop, seated in the warming sun and served "breakfast" (even though 11.30 am) by the smiling staff. And the genuine hospitality lasted until we left our escort at the airport going home. They also arranged a one-day trip to the Atlas mountains with a very nice guide, including a visit to a Berber market (on Thursdays only!) making you feel 1000 years back in time (I really recommend not to miss this!) and a nice walk to the waterfalls. And please note that Dar Najat has their own kitchen/resataurant, although you always have to book in advance. We had one dinner here and it really made me convinced that Morroccan cuisine is one of the absolute best in the world. As long as you are not after a large, luxury hotel with multiple restaurants and a mega-gym, it it virtually impossible to be disappointed with this place! Thanks Oliver!
“AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE AT DAR NAJAT'S KITCHEN!” The start of 2012 came with a pleasant surprise, a trip to Marrakech, Morocco with my younger brother Jeff, who you can find below. Upon arrival into this beautiful culturally rich city, we were brought to the Riad Dar Najat, which we found using this website after reading so many fine reviews. We were immediately surprised to find that not only was the decor of the riad young and hip and fun, but so were the employees. We were brought to the roof of the riad and sat in the sun looking over the buildings, while they made us the perfect mint tea to complement the already surreal relaxation we were feeling. Oliver and his staff had already made us feel at home within 30 or so minutes from the time we arrived. The first night we were told that we would be fed by them. and not knowing what to expect, we were brought the finest meal of the entire trip. It was a lemony spicy chicken tagine, with delicious perfectly spiced veggies, salad and fresh bread, and it was absolutely delicious. We actually ordered the same meal for our final night. They had already surprised us with their hospitality and delicious food, and to make things even more convenient, they knew of all the fun and exciting places to visit in the old city and the surrounding areas. After setting us up with their drivers, we were also able to take a day trip to the atlas mountains where we drank tea under waterfalls. And the next day they brought us to their other Riad in Essaouira, where we sat on the roof overlooking the water. It was an absolutely incredible trip. We finished the trip off in Barcelona and Madrid, but nothing could compare to the fun we had with the people at Riad Dar Najat. If we could have stayed longer we would, and another visit is absolutely necessary. THANK YOU RIAD DAR NAJAT!! You went above and beyond our expectations
"BEST RESTAURANT IN MARRAKECH!" “Quirky, friendly and a place to have great food” We only stayed at this riad for one night which was a great pity. The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much for them. It is a slightly quirky riad but in a good way! The owner Oliver is possibly the most friendly and acommodating man you will meet in Marrakech. There are plenty of areas to sit outside, which are all very comfortable. The rooms are clean and comfortable with great art work dotted around. The only cristism I would have is that because the rooms are narrow and long , as is the case in most raids, it makes it slightly difficult to get into and out of bed on one side, perhaps a smaller bedside table at one side would help with this. However the room had both air conditioning and a heater, the heater was very much appreciated at night time. Food wise we had both a lunch and evening meal here and the lamb was the best we had during our stay in Morocco - beating even the best restaurants!

"Your Palace in the Heart of Marrakech" Riad Dar Najat My brother and I (20 and 23 y.o.) traveled to Marrakech and stated at the Riad Dar Najat for 5 all of our 5 nights. I have NEVER stayed in such an AWESOME HOTEL! Oliver (the owner) and his crew of Moroccan friends and employees all get along great with each other, and are more than welcoming and inviting. The tea never stops flowing, and the conversations continue on (if thats way you would like). They will treat you like kings and like best friends (they hang out and give advice and stories, and they make sure you're always satisfied and have a full cup of tea, and a full stomach). The hospitality topped this deal off, even though the pure beauty of each of the 7 rooms, and of the roof terrace and each of 3 levels of the wraparound terrace, are captivating enough. They will arrive trips for you, serve you wonderful breakfast each morning and upon request they will cook you the BEST DINNER IN MARRAKECH. No joke, we spent over $100 equivalent on dinner for two one night and it was terrible compared to the tajine we had at the Riad for about a quarter the price You could never step out of the road and still have a great time in Marrakech, though of course this is not what any traveler should do in such an exotic place. Also, the LOCATION IS AWESOME!!! Unique Qualities: Courtyard, 3 wrap-around terraces plus a rooftop terrace. Very interesting, fun architecture that makes you feel like you're in a little palace or fortress. And they treat you like kings as well. They have a deal set up with drivers who will take you on awesome private day trips, where you can do whatever you want along the way. It's like you're in a band and its your tour bus, and you've got an awesome (most likely Berber) guide/driver making conversation and telling you about the area. Everything is great at the Dar Najat. The artwork is really cool too, and you should definitely ask about it. We got to meet the artist in Essouaria (a town about 2 hours drive away), where he stays at Oliver's other Riad. Address: Derb Lalla Chacha 18, Douar Graoua, Marrakech, 40000, Morocco Comparison: less expensive than average Directions: Near the big square, in the old city. “Best food in Marrakesh” After many visits to Marrakesh, Oliver and his team provide the best food bar none. To be able to sit on the roof restaurant whilst being looked after by Oliver's top staff is a memorable experience.

“Best Riad with the Best People in Marrakech” was just at this lovely Riad for my first visit to Marrakech and it was beyond amazing. Coming in, you are instantly greeted by the warmest people who make you feel right at home. The Riad is tucked away from the chaos of the Old Town but is in the perfect location; we didn't drive anywhere the three days we were in town (we just walked, and walked, and walked). The rooms are lovely; clean and very beautifully decorated with awesome bathrooms and great showers! There is a lovely lobby for late night chess games and three levels of terraces for outdoor teas, drinks, etc. At night, the Riad was quiet and we slept so well : ) Eat lots here, as the food is delicious and home-made...also very reasonably priced! Breakfast (included) was served every morning and was a wonderful mix of european croissants, moroccan bread, and awesome coffee...all served outside overlooking the rooftops of Marrakech. Dinners were extra but well worth the money as the food was authentic and served in a relaxed atmosphere making it feel like you were really at home, not in a hotel. The owner and staff are wonderful...they have great advice for shopping, spas, etc and will help you find anything. We were here for New Year's Eve and the party was unforgettable. I cannot say enough wonderful things; Riad Dar Najat made Marrakech the trip of a lifetime. Stay here!!!!
