Beyoncé accusée de plagiat par une chorégraphe
La chorégraphe belge Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker estime que la chanteuse américaine de R&B Beyoncé Knowles a plagié deux de ses spectacles dans son dernier clip et a saisi son avocat pour examiner les recours possibles, a annoncé lundi sa compagnie, Rosas. "Nous avons découvert le clip de Beyoncé vendredi et y avons vu plus que des ressemblances avec le film que le réalisateur Thierry De Mey a tiré en 1997 de +Rosas danse Rosas+", l'une des plus célèbres créations de la chorégraphe flamande, et en 1994 d'"Achterland", a déclaré cette porte-parole, Johanne De Bie. "Nous avons transféré l'affaire à notre avocat pour voir quels sont nos droits", a ajouté la porte-parole de la compagnie Rosas. La ressemblance entre la version filmée de "Rosas danse Rosas" et le clip de "Countdown" de Beyoncé est effectivement frappante, tant dans le décor que dans les vêtements portés ou les mouvements réalisés. Dans les deux cas, on y voit une jeune femme aux longs cheveux noirs (Beyoncé dans le clip) se diriger vers une fenêtre à carreaux de ce qui ressemble à un couloir d'école. Face à la vitre, la jeune femme, portant un large t-shirt, découvre ensuite brièvement ses épaules et se passe les mains dans les cheveux dans des gestes vifs quasiment identiques. De même, les mouvements des trois danseuses qui accompagnent la chanteuse américaine, ou une chorégraphie réalisée sur des chaises dans un réfectoire au sol carrelé, ressemblent énormément à la gestuelle imaginée par "ATDK", comme le montre un clip comparatif diffusé sur Youtube sous le titre "Beyoncé vs. Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker". "Je n'ai jamais été contactée. C'est un vrai plagiat", avait déclaré vendredi à chaud, sur la radio flamande Studio Brussel, cette habituée du festival d'Avignon faite baronne par le roi des Belges Albert II en 1996.

Ce titre sur l'« émancipation des femmes » est écrite par The-Dream, Beyoncé, Nick van de Wall, Wesley Pentz, David Taylor, et Adidja Palmer et est produite par Switch, Beyoncé et Shea Taylor. À l'origine supposé être intitulé Girls (Who Run the World), une démo inédite de la chanson est divulguée sur le net le 18 avril 2011. Plus tard, le 21 avril 2011, elle sort comme le premier single de son album studio 4. Run the World (Girls) échantillonne Pon de Floor de Major Lazer et suit le même genre d'hip-hop alternatif/dancehall qui est mixé avec le son pop et R'n'B de la chanteuse. Le titre et les paroles de la chanson contiennent un message convaincant et déterminé sur l'émancipation des femmes.
