We don’t know exactly how these products will turn out but we can be sure of one thing: They’ll cost a pretty penny. On the same day, the non-profit Raspberry Pi Foundation released a bare-boned, Linux-powered computer that costs between $25 and $35. When I say “bare-boned,” I mean just that. The Raspberry Pi, which is the creation of UK-based academics and technology companies, is a credit card sized board with a Broadcom 700Mhz BCM2835 System-On Chip running a lightweight Remix of Fedora Linux for ARM. Membres : Fairy YUI Vocals Tachibana Takaha Keyboard, Compositions Yosei Teikoku est une jeune formation assez original en son genre, un peu à l'instar de leur éminent collègue ALI PROJECT. Le groupe compte une chanteuse à la voix d'enfant, Fairy Yui et un compositeur, Tachibana Takaha. Ceux-ci font partie du projet TEAM FAIRITHM à l'origine. Le monde de Yosei Teikoku tourne autour du mysiticisme et des légendes irlandaises, écossaises, ou bretonnes sur les Fairies (les fées). A travers leur oeuvre, le groupe fait revivre l'empire des fées d'antan, oublié de nous, humains, des temps infinis d'autrefois... Tachibana utilise un original compromis entre le genre electro/trance et de l'orchestral en grande pompe, ne lésinant en rien sur les choeurs pensant des cathédrales, les tambours battant d'un ultime champ bataille, mêlé à un son rock tranchant, le tout servie par la voix tout à fait crytalline de Fairy YUI. Le son Yosei Teikoku est davantage dans le répertoire sombre et gothique, tout en passant par des compositions très légéres, tantôt penchant vers des mélodies plus classiques, suivit par un rythme electro effrené et en se terminant par des morceaux purement épiques et médiévaux. Le résultat se révèle ainsi tout à fait original et intemporel. Yosei Teikoku s'est révélé assez tardivement pour avoir participer à des thèmes de jeux et des séries animées. Les compositions s'en ressentent, plus "gentillettes", un peu moins personnelles, mais tout en gardant leur style propre. Visuellement, le duo propose un look particulièrement soigné, osicllant entre style gothique et elfique, de la lumière à l'ombre, de toute beauté. Yosei Teikoku montre à travers leur compositions qu'il n'existe pas de réelle barrière entre notre monde matériel et le monde spirituel, il suffit de passer la porte qu'ils ont ouvert à notre essient, comme toutes nombreuses portes un peu spéciales que d'autres ont entrouvertes à de nombreuses occasions déjà. Tâchez seulement de retrouver votre chemin par suite, il est si facile de se laisser captiver et emporter au loin...

Orlando Gibbons: See, see the word is Incarnate - December 19, 2008 This motet like many is a verse anthem of the continuous type that is, the chorus does not repeat any of the previous text of the solo section. Composed in the year 1616 probably at Westminster Abbey. This miniature Life of Our Lord was obviously an inspiration to the composer, for the narrative is imbued with some of his finest music. Particularly the "baroque" flourish at the end to the words "and heaven laid open to sinners." In this anthem was a baroque declamation, perfect in syllable and accent, which was nevertheless reconciled with the Renaissance polyphonic texture. This English characteristic, of "clothing the hare in tortoise-shell" shows why it was Gibbons who influenced the next generation of Purcell, rather than the opera, which for long failed to gain a foothold on the music of the English Island. 1583 English composer, virginalist and organist Orlando Gibbons was born in Cambridge. He was a leading composer in England during his lifetime, and one of the last great figures of the English polyphonic school (music in which two or more tones sound simultaneously). He wrote a large quantity of keyboard works, around thirty fantasias for viols, a number of madrigals (the best-known being “The Silver Swan”), and many popular verse anthems.
