Lac de la Balmette 2084m (Massif de Belledonne) Petit lac sous la face Nord-Est du Grand Pic de Belledonne. temps aller-retour 5ha 6h dénivelé positif 800 m Départ Hameau des Roncières au-dessus du village Rivier d'Allemont (1300 m) ; prendre le chemin du Frenet ; arrivée au torrent, le remonter rive gauche en suivant le balisage ; continuer dans les alpages avec passages à gué ; après le vallon de Roche Noire, remonter vers un col et continuer en balcon vers le lac de Belledonne ; lorsque le chemin traverse le torrent d'Articol, prendre à droite vers le lac en suivant les cairns et les ronds orange ; redescendre par le même chemin. The white areas off the tropical coasts of South and North America indicate the pool of warm water.[1] El Niño/La Niña-Southern Oscillation, or ENSO, is a quasi-periodic climate pattern that occurs across the tropical Pacific Ocean with on average five year intervals. It is characterized by variations in the temperature of the surface of the tropical eastern Pacific Ocean - warming or cooling known as El Niño and La Niña respectively - and air surface pressure in the tropical western Pacific - the Southern Oscillation. The two variations are coupled: the warm oceanic phase, El Niño, accompanies high air surface pressure in the western Pacific, while the cold phase, La Niña, accompanies low air surface pressure in the western Pacific.[2][3] Mechanisms that cause the oscillation remain under study. ENSO causes extreme weather such as floods, droughts and other weather disturbances in many regions of the world.
