1person found this review helpfulHow do you describe something so good, other excellent reviews still don`t do it justice. From day1 Oliver and the staff made us feel that this was our home and that nothing was any trouble to them. This beutiful riad, decorated in afro-morrocan style, is situated only minutes away from the main square, down a maze of narrow streets. On the first day, Amin ( Bob Marley) acted as our guide, showing us the way, and also gave us a mobile phone with the number of the riad, each of the staffs own number, and Achmed, our taxi drivers number, in case we got lost or needed help. The riad is a peacefull haven away from the bustle of traffic and noise, where as soon as you enter, you are offered refreshing mint tea or orange juice. Our room on the 1st floor was dark in typical riad style, to keep it cool, with amazing afro style paintings, carpets and a porcelain handbasin lined with beaten copper to match the decor. We had originally decided we would eat out alternate nights, but the food was so good in the riad that we ate in most nights. Oliver,Amin,Said and Eshan ( hope I`ve spelt it right) made our holiday, always greeting us with a welcoming smile, giving us advice on places in the city to visit (or not) , and arranging trips to the Ourika Valley and to Essouria on the coast for us. We were caught in flight cancellations due to the volcanic erruptions in Iceland, and Easyjet very kindly put us in a new 4 star hotel just outside the city, which was nice, but how we missed our riad. For our last night, we decided to try going back to the riad with a friend we had met, and were engulfed with hugs and kisses, wined and dined, treated like royalty. How do you say thank you to such wonderfull people, Oliver and company are all our friends who we will be keeping in touch with.
