Analog Announces Upcoming Full Length Skate Movie

Analog is proud to officially announce their first full length skate movie, slated for a Fall 2010 release.Greg Hunt (Mind Field, The DC Video, Sight Unseen) is on board to shoot and direct the film. Greg’s choice to take on the project was simple, “These guys are some of my best friends and favorite skaters.”Shot entirely in HD, the video will feature the entire Analog skate team: Stefan Janoski, Dylan Reider, Jon Goemann, Steve Forstner, Luke Croker, Sammy Winter, Omar Salazar, and Arto Saari.The video above is a short trailer where Greg and Mark Oblow (Analog Creative Director) share thoughts on the team, the project, and the coming year.

Alex Caizergues has broken the world kiteboarding speed reco

Frenchman Alex Caizergues (F One) has broken the world kiteboarding speed record with an incredible time of 50.98 knots, breaking his previous world record of 50.57.  Rob Douglas (Cabrinha) also set a new American outright speed sailing record with an equally impressive time of 50.95knots, just three one hundredths of a knot shy of Alex Caizergues. Many other competitors also recorded noteworthy times including Sebastian Cattelan (Solid) who completed a run of 49.51before falling foul of equipment problems. Christophe Prin-Guenon (F One) got 48.44, Jerome Bila (Genetrix) came in with 47.73. Charlotte Consorti (F One) again led the ladies with a speed of 44.27 knots. Fast, but still a full knot short of Sjoukje Bredenkamp’s outright record of 45.20 set last year. Today the riders are heading again to the strip for another day of racing as the wind here in Lüderitz continues to be favorable.  With two weeks still left in the competition, everything is still up for grabs, including the highly sought after world outright speed sailing record of 51.36 knots, set by the French  Hydrofoil l’Hydoptère in September of this year. Check Alex's run in this video made by Band Originale !   More infos here.

The " Tomahawk Bodyboard Surfing Club " (TBSC), in main partnership with "Milk Bodyboards", announce you the second edition of one of the most incredible competitions of bodyboard organized in France!Afetr the success of the first edition, the TBSC team back to work to organize again this "mystic" competition.The challenge will keep the same concept, gather together the elite of the French bodyboard in front of a some locals riders on the famous reef of "Annaëlle".The idea to organize a competition on one of the most powerful waves of France had not been enough envisaged. That is why, it seemed logical to renew this initiative as far as she allows to bring a little of revival in the universe of the classic competitions.This event aims at making discover Brittany under its best day to the invited bodyboarders. On one side, in a sports way, by being in confrontation on one of the most renowned reefs of Brittany. On the other hand, by the cultural aspect, which gather all the competitors, the volunteers and the rescuers around a local dish of Finistère Nord: the famous "kig ha farz"!This year, 20 bodyboarders are invited according to certain criteria: the level in bodyboard, the commitment for the bodyboard in France, the open-mindedness, and the knowledge of the spot.Price money will be also planned to motivate the troops.Ronan Gladu will be behind the objective to immortalize this whole event.
