A bizarre and (if you're open-minded) amusing example of how non-muslims in the past (and the present?) misuse the Name of Allah, to add an 'oriental flavour' to their productions, whether it was on stage, in literature, in radioplays (as this one) and in films. Please note that in this production the words "islam" and "muslims"are never uttered. The word "mosque" is said ONE time only. The Name of Allah however is mentioned several times throughout the radioplay.
This radioplay has been aired on CBS (November 19, 1939) and has been played by the Campbell Playhouse (Orson Welles, producer).
PLEASE NOTE THAT I'M NOT IN FAVOUR OF THE IDEAS EXPRESSED IN THIS RADIOPLAY, I'M OFFERING YOU THIS RADIOPLAY ONLY AS AN UNIQUE "PEEK" IN RADIO HISTORY.
