What a fantastic riad! Riad Bab Marrakech can be found (if someone shows you the way) about a 5-minute walk from the famous Djemaa el Fna square in the Marrakech medina.
Like most Moroccan riads, once you walk thru the nondescript door, you are standing in the open-air courtyard of this beautiful, new, 4-bedroom guesthouse. Trees, a fountain and tranquility can be found instantly. There are 2 rooms on the ground floor and 2 more on the 2nd. There are beautiful hanging lamps and ethnic artwork tastefully placed.
The rooftop terrace is beautiful and has covered seating along with umbrellas and bistro sets. There is also a beautiful, tiled bar with seats on the roof.
The room has a comfy, double-bed and chair, very new and clean washroom with shower. There is more beautiful artwork in the room and wrought-iron window covering. There is also free wifi everywhere in the riad.
The best part though is the staff and service. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I was treated like family and the other guest were also treated like old friends instead of customers. What a treat.
If you're looking for an authentic, friendly and charming riad in the Marrakech, in a great location and great service, definitely give Riad Bab Marrakech a try!
