“We did not want to leave, has to be the best riad in Marrakech”
We have recently returned from a 4 nights stay at Riad Dar Najat, what a fantastic riad this is, it is perfect in every way, the location, the staff, the food, everything was perfect.
The owner of the riad had organised our airport transfer, it went smoothly and within 15 minutes of leaving the airport we were at the riad. The vehicle we were travelling in was able to get within a minute away from the riad which was handy (even though the riad is located in the middle of the old medina). The location is perfect as it is very close to the main square only a 5 minute walk away and yet it is located in a very peaceful part of the medina, there was no noise in the night at all, which meant a great nights sleep.
The riad has recently been renovated and the owner has done a brilliant job, the riad has been decorated in an original way, with artwork throughout the riad. There were 2 roof terraces and one had a lovely jacuzzi on it. It was so magical in the evening as the stars were so bright and the whole riad had such an atmosphere about it, you really felt like you were in such a peaceful place.
The food at the riad was special, it was all freshly cooked and tasted magnificant, we requested the kefta tagine which was so delicious, it was served with fresh salads and breads, we loved the food at the riad.
Our room was very nice, it had a comfortable double bed and was ensuite, it had its own air conditioning unit which we did not need as it was nice and cool in the riad. The room had complimentry water bottles in it which I thought was a nice touch. Towels were provided and they were changed whenever we requested.
The staff at the raid were really special, they were prepared to do whatever we asked, they were always smiling and seemed really happy in their work. On our first visit to the square we were taken there by Amin, he seemed to be at the riad 24/7 and was really helpful to us.
When it was time to leave, we did not want to, it felt like our own home, we will definetly be returning to Riad Dar Najat in the early part of 2012. Thanks to all the riads team who made us feel so welcome.
