Announcer gives the names of the journalists covering the D-Day story: "H.V. Kaltenborn, David Anderson from London, Wright Bryan oin-the-spot overseas, Robert St. John from New York, John W. Vandercook from overseas, Morgan Beatty and Richard Hawkness (?!) from Washington.

Hitler took command of the German operation, moved his headquarters to Northern France (acc. to Reuiters).
Berlin warns Holland and says that German key air fields are wiped out in France.
"Dutch, Polish and Australian, as wel as American, Canadian and British squadrons are taking part in the great allied aerial attack."
Paratroop dummies are being dropped in France to deceive the Germans (according to the DNB, Deutsche Nachrichten Bureau).

Commentary by Richard Hawkness. He talks about the preparations of D-Day, the stubborness of "baldheaded cautious" Churchill and the talks in Caíro and Teheran.
